thewriteukmarket.com
Dear subscribers, supporters & friends,
As you know, the last few weeks have been tied up with migrating the new format and hosting provider for thewriteukmarket.com
Nearly all of the background work has been completed, and I am fast approaching completion of the new site.
However, there is still a great deal of work to do. Juggling this, moving house and a 11 week old baby (see here) certainly hasn't been easy, and that is why I have made an important decision for the future of the site.
The future of the writeukmarket looks bright, I have received messages from many keen writers that have pledged their support of the site in its new format. These supporters are invaluable to me, and I do appreciate everyone's patience in this transition period.
New features and ideas are aplenty and I can't wait until I can implement all of them at the new base.
Sneak preview of what is to come:
* We are employing (yes, paying!) 3 freelance writers to write monthly articles/reports upon the very latest market updates, new publications and jobs.
* Password protected members-only pages full of new markets, all listed by subject.
* Not only will the new site have members-only pages, theses pages are exclusive, and although the site will offer a trial membership, these markets will not be on the 'freebie' pages.
* Monthly subscriber newsletter detailing the new updates to the members pages
* Secure pages to make your payment
* Lists of new markets, updates.
* Headline news covering the U.K. publishing and writing world.
* Editor interviews - see what they really want from you submissions. Plus much more
And now for the sad news
The new site is being put on hold until September 2003. Not only will this give more than enough time to tweak the site and make it the best it can be, by this time I am positive I can give the site and the subscribers the on-going dedication it deserves.
I understand that this is probably not what most of you want to hear, and I fully understand should you decide not to wait for the day we go live. That is why I am deleting all record of your contact addresses after this e-mail has been sent. If you would like to be kept informed of my progress during the next year or so please sign-up to our Topica newsletter, used only for reporting upon the site's progress.
Please be aware that you may only receive updates as and when they happen - it may be few and far between until I'm nearing the September launch date. To subscribe email: thewriteukmarket-subscribe@topica.com Until the launch, the website will display this message. Thank you for your time, patience, support and help, I look forward to working with you again in September next year.
